And only too soon

Well, here I am sitting at level 5 of NP library doing research on Herpes and I'm still not done yet. The main problem here is that I'm just too stark bored to continue. The fact that I didn't do that well for my common tests doesn't help very much. I intend to help my grades with superb project work marks at least. Since it is an easy way to get marks for final score anyway.

Ah the concert is tomorrow. I'm starting to feel outright queasy now. I suppose after tomorrow. Everything will be OK..I guess.. or maybe not since I've got two projects due in two weeks. Argh….Back to work

Out in open
Well Cindy just officially announced her decision to make me SL after the concert I guess theres no denying now.

I'll will do the best of my abilities to lead my fellows and my juniors to be better musicians. I appreciate the willingness of my fellows to help me should i stumble. I appreciate all of you. Seriously.

-------------------------------------

2007 is like a year with so many experiances gained.

Don't mind my ranting on my thoughts. No Alfred I'm not feeling emo now.

Sigh i still don't feel any more satisfied about life. My work isn't that great. I'm not that good a musician even though , Dad , Sis and Bro are loads better then I am. People around me seem to get their wishes and wants before i do. Its been a long time since any of my wants or wishes came true. The 6th is coming. Goodbye 16 hello 17.

The end of a life once known
Upon hearing the news from Poh Soo I immediately checked to see if it was true. Yes true enough...he's gone. Thaddeus Cheong. A former primary school classmate and a good friend of John Tang one of my best buddies in those days. I pray for your soul Thaddeus , that at last you may find peace for your soul in a place off this earth. You truely were a person worth knowing.

---------------------

It starts to hit home when someone who you knew passes away. It makes you stop and wonder. It can happen to anyone. Even you. I pray that anyone who has to leave this world in the way poor Thaddeus did will leave in peace.

--------------------

I pray for the future..

Back to school
Fool's School

Back to school and no ones' the fool.
If you know the rules you won't be the fool.
A fool's a fool if he's no cool
so it's back to school so don't be the fool

--------------------------------------------------------

I can't rhyme like a busta but at least i can think of something i guess. One day closer to the concert and a day older. I can't say i climbed up any rungs today. In fact i feel sorta lower then i did. Maybe i lack morale or maybe its because all my friends are happier then I am. Most of them anyway.

So much for being the listener. Listening only helps as far as if you can listen to yourself. Can i listen to myself because i don't think i can. I'm anxious to know the results of the CT and I'm hoping I did alright. Nervous about CT, Nervous about Concert, Nervous about peripherial things.

I feel like I'm in the Thai Movie review thing Joven showed me. In the parody of Little Miss Sunshine. Everyone looks sad. That includes me :X. I'm not down in the dumps sad but sad to where i just feel jealous that my friends are getting their wants and desires fufilled and here I am with none but fool's gold.

A new term a new start. Lets rock this thing.

Taking a higher rung on the ladder of life
Life's Ladder

I admit I've fallen a few rungs down in the past 6 months at least and I've gained some rungs but in 2 weeks minus 2 days, theres that advancement to the next step in life.

Happens only once a year and
a year once over only.

Time is getting scarce around here. Concert next Saturday. I have sax class today which clashes with the practice for father fossion's mass and for the wedding on the saturday 2 weeks from now. I'm really short of time these days. With school coming up on Monday and all the other things peripherial I think i'm tackling up to 5 major events at once.

--------------------------------------------------------------
I feel the keyboard under my finger tips. The soft clicking of the keys hitting their sensors as my fingers apply pressure. Its a gentle touch. In the room, darkness rules but the light of the laptop screen glared the darkness.

I'm bored and Life is not getting any more exciting. I need a life which does not revolve around music, computer games or mundane normalties.

What happened...
Well Melaka was great, I enjoyed the trip and band camp was an rather exciting experiance. Apart from the fact my laptop died on me during camp is no nevermind at all to me anyway. I met Alfred *grin* a few times during camp so its hard to say I haven't seen him in a while.

First day was a day of bonding with memebers and outreach participants i've never met or seen or talked to before. Then was sectionals and all that stuff. Sleeping together (genderwise) was a good experiance as it gave all the people of the same gender the quality time needed to bond together.

Day two involved alot of practice and FINALLY a combined practice. We still spent alot of time having sectionals but the night walk/treasure hunt was fun. Aloysius and the rest of us did a good job tackling the clues BUT...to the tune of *because of you*.

Because of you we walked around the NP Campus...
Because of you we are frickin tired.

Directed to Kenneth :D

That was NOT meant as an insult or anger or anything lol. No misunderstandings here.

Day 3 was a day of more and more sectionals. We spent alot of time with Jeremy , lazing around during sectionals cause it was too darn hot and warm to practice anything. Well I'm off soon. I gotta send that damn laptop for servicing and that is IF Asus has the damn parts for it. I'm just so damn unfortunate. First it spoils on me then i call to find out there is a stocktake. What a "coincidence"...

Malaca
Getting ready to go to Melaka. In just a few mins I'll be walking on that door to church to Melaka. ...Suddenly the Gundam song we're playing for band sounds really grand lol. Really adventurous.

Yesterday went for supper with Pei Jun, Clarissa , SK and one of the Eupho seniors. Pei Jun and Clarissa are master screamers i'd say. Never try to frighten them unless you wanna hear screams that can kill.

Off now.

Well now...
Its been quite a while since that last update...the holidays are here at last. Things will still be hidiously busy around here but at least its not due to exam stress...of which i hate the most about studying. Relatively everything went smooth except for chemistry to which EVERYONE in F01 is confident .....in failing....except well maybe Chiu Chern because his chem is A level grade :X

I mean come on he gave us terminology we've never seen in our entire life! What the blue gazes is a formula unit?

Hot dang....

Well i'll be trotting off now. Toodles.

VE Day
Today is the last battle for this period of time. The common test are nearly over with only chemistry in about 2 hours time. Things are about to get fun after this. I just hope that the Chem test is as easy as the other tests.

*Prays*

I met the epitome of emoness on the bus today and he set behind me. I messaged Alfred and he told me to try to reduce the power of his emoness. It was like he was nuclear, radiating emoness.

A salute to men and women of virtue
On this day 6th of June in the year 1944, men of the Allied Expeditionary force of the freeworld embarked on the great crusade. The invasion of Nazi occupied Europe. The men of various free nations like America, Britain, Canada, France (those who escaped Nazi enslavement), Polish (like the French) and men from all the other nations which i otherwise can't name cause i can't remember all of them..

Many brave men of both the Allied Army and the German army made the ultimate sacrifice on this date 63 years ago to fight for the cause they believed in. My thanks to those people alive and gone who fought on those bloody beaches and those who jumped from planes the night before for fighting for a free world. For those who have passed on or died in the war, we will always remember you!

To the brave soldiers who fought on this bloody day, I salute you!
------------------------------------------------------

An ironic thought...my math exam falls on this date..could this be an epic day?

The world of mathcraft
I spent the day playing a new game that was created in the depts of my mind. Its called the World of Mathcraft! Its a spin off of the popular game World of Warcraft by Blizzard games.

I spent the morning getting my character killed by creeps(questions) that were at levels that were so high i could'nt see the digits so i decided i should go kill some low level creeps and read the tutorial.

I gained a few levels and tried some harder ones when i kept getting killed by the same few creeps and the circle creep i decided i needed to get some new skills. Hence i went to see the Math trainer for journeymen, Philbert Ong. After paying Log 2 base 2 gold, I gained a few new skills. Such as the complete-the-square ability to kill the circle creeps and the solve exponential and logarithmic equations level 3 ability to better kill the relevant creeps. (Nah i did'nt really pay him, just went to the library)

The world of mathcraft has been a wonderful game to play and tommorow i shall be fighting the creep bosses at 12.30pm and then i shall move on to the new game, Chemistry Quest!

The five kinds of....
White blood cells! Yeah

Basophils, Eosinophils, Neutrophils, Lymphocytes and Monocytes!

Which hormone controls the production of the white blood cells
CSF and Interleukins!

Erythropoiesis is the production of red blood cells which is controlled by the hormone Erythropoietin.

The 11 body organ systems - Integumentary, Skeletal, Muscular, Endocrine, Urinary, Nervous, Digestive, Circulatory, Respiratory, Urinary and Reproductive.

What is an ECG? Electrocardiogram.
What are the PQRST waves?
P is the de-polarization of the atria
QRST is the Depolarization of the ventricles.

What are the 5 components of the conductive system of the heart?
Sinoatrial node, Atriolventricular node, Bundle of HIS and its branches and the Purkinje Fibres.

The heart is myogenic- Able to pump on its own using the cardiovascular muscles without the need of nerve impulse of another part of the body.

The heart pumps in the following way, The pacemaker(Sinoatrial node) gives the nerve impulse causing the Atria to contract, the impulse travels to the atrioventricular node and to the bundle of his and down the two branches to the tips of the two ventricles and through the purkinje fibres the impulse goes over the entire ventricles and cause them to contract.

Atherschlorosis is the condition whereby deposits of fat and cholesterol and other substances are stored in the lumen of the heart arteries. This causes blockage and reduces blood flow.

Myocardial Infarction is another name for Heart attack.

The 4 knids of tissues, Epithelial, Muscular, Connective and nervous.
Epithelial tissues are either squamous, cuboidal or columnar in simple or stratified forms. An example is the outer layer of the skin.

Muscular tissues can be grouped into 3 kinds, Smooth, Skeletal and Cardio. An example is the cardiovascular muscles.

Connective tissue can be connective tissue proper or specialised connective tissue. An example is/are cartilages or blood.

Nervous tissues are found in the brain, an example in the neurone.

The neurone is made up of a few parts, the cell body, dendrite and axon...

This is most of the important stuff i guess. I'm tired time to turn it...sleep time God i pray i make it through, I pray for my friends as well that they may pass their CA and continue with the course.

D Day
D-Day minus 11 hours and 55 minutes

In about 12 hours time will be the physio exam. I can't say i'm confident cuz i ain't. Neither can i'm nervous cuz i ain't. I'm really tired from all of the day's events. Today's mass was TERRIBLE. Sounded awful! I have to stop these bad days from happening one day it's going to seriously hamper my progress!

Sax lesson did'nt go that well either. My sight reading was pathetic ABSOLUTELY no form at all! Damn today sucked. Apart from the fact that i FINALLY completed typing out those notes and that my buds Jo and Bren are coming for the concert is comforting though.

I'm worried for tommorow because i think there is something i overlooked. According to Murphy's laws, whats the worse that could happen WILL happen. Better be ready on all fronts!

Tired, sianed and worried. What a good mixture of feelings now.

Then theres that something that bugs me everynow and then. A maniacal laughter in my brain that laughs at all the failures i've come across and all the mistakes i made. Its so cynical that its like a bout of bad memories. Then theres also what they call the "hole in the heart"..hmm....physiology again....

sigh...back to work..or maybe i should do something else for a change?

Today we stand...
Today we stand ready (maybe not) to take on the challanges of the common tests. We shall be ready to pass. Most of us should and will pass but i will not gurantee any casualties safety. I pray that all of us get through this trying time with ease and with good judgement.

Well Friday went by sorta slow. Had SW as usual, Mr Kenny Goh was absent so the relief instructor took over. I actually enjoyed SW this time. Cats was alright, we left early to do our project elsewhere. The previous day i actually had a gut feeling that told me Cheryl would say no no we'll be able to complete in class. On the contrary though. We ended up doing our project at the Atrium with buttered rice for lunch. Too bad Adeline had to leave early.

After we got the typing over and done with I volunteered to send the documents for printing. I walked to the printing room next to the library only to find a rather short cue and Belinda. The aunty there suddenly said "The printer here very "something" go to the pool that one"

Knowing how slow it was (It took 30 minutes to print our Mbio practical notes the last time!) i made a quick walk to the pool side printing shop only to find it more packed then the library's printing room. I waited a good 10 minutes only to find that..GASP, our word documents were saved in 2007 format and the darn school computer only could read 2003. I printed the picture and dashed back and converted the files and back to the shop double time and got it printed. Then Cheryl, Zhong Shun and I walked all the way back to the IS block to hand in the project and walked all the way back down. It started to pour...how miserable...

I spent alot of the day just snoozing and doing MOL ( I actually had the mood to do Math!), I read thru some of the physio chapters and went thru some of the "What i should know" stuff Eddie made us copy.

Around 3.10pm I received a distress call from Julian saying his laptop died on him. Sure enough after his test he came over and i gave it a smell over...true to the word..it was burnt. It smelt like someone left a piece of meat on the stove too long. He sent it for repair at the Adelphi and was back 2 hours later to hang out till 10.15 where i then chased him off so that i could do my own work and go to sleep.

Saturday - Spent alot of time sleeping and revising. Went for a haircut and went to TP to type my personal physio notes in solitude. Alvina was talking to me via msn in that time telling me about her problem with school and how she's overworked. Bless you, I'll pray you get thru safe.

The rest of it is as usual. Read more, play some, sleep, eat , practice music and now going to sleep again. Haha...

Gotta get up early for mass so best turn in soon.

Vesak Day - A day NOT well spent.

Just some random photographs of my messy room after a day of sitting around at home doing MOL, practicing music, playing games and studying. A mess. O and look at Max sitting there. Both shots were taken just a a minute a part. After i fired the first one Max jumped on the bed and sat on the blanket. As seen there. Heh. I'm going to do abit more till i go to sleep. I slept quite alot yesterday.
